Los Porteños Dogo Argentino Kennel
We are Willem-Alexander & Martine, Dani & Britt van Rooijen. We have been breeding, owning, training and living with Dogos Argentinos since 1996. I met my first Dogo Argentino in 1989 in The Netherlands when I was 18 years of age, from that day I just knew I had to have a Dogo Argentino, her name was Quinta a female, owned by Salvador Duarte. From that day on I started reading and collecting dogbooks and the first Dogo Argentino book I bought was Der Dogo Argentino written in German by Dr. Otto Schimpf. I still have many books in my collction about dogs in general, breeds, hunting and training and canine behaviour. I trained and learned to become a certified dogtrainer, which helps me in raising well socialised puppy`s, to give them a good start in life. Our first Dogo was a female called Ullmara Chunca de La Monteria breeded in The Netherlands, she gave us 2 litters of puppy`s. The A-litter she was bred with Tongo Nuestra Fortuna a son of Tacora De El Tumi, brother of the famous Mole De El Tumi. Chunca`s B-litter was with Tehuelche Inca owned an bred by Stafano Chiatti, Tehuelche Inca was a son of Estuque De Santa Isabel whom was bred by Francisco Norez Martinez, the younger brother of Antonio & Augustin Norez Martinez. Our second Dogo argentino was also a female called Chabela Inti De Agallas imported from Argentina out of De Agallas kennel. Our third and fourth Dogos were out of our kennels B-litter; Branco-Santos De Los Porteños and Bucare-Nuñez De Los Porteños.
Bucare-Nuñez De Los Porteños was bred 2 times with 2 times Vice-Worldchampion, Dutch, German, International, Finnish, Danish & Swedish Yatay Del Gualilan owned by Peter van Gils & Birgitte Nielsen from Denmark, Yatay Del Gualilan gave us 2 very special females; Chivas-Rivas De Los Porteños out of the C-litter and De Boca Junior De Los Porteños out of the D-litter, these 2 females have won many showtitles and they were great companion dogs as well.
Chivas-Rivas De Los Porteños gave us the E-litter she was bred with Juncal De Los Medanos from Argentina. Out of this combination we would like to mention Estrella-Yanti De Los Porteños. De Boca Junior De Los Porteños was bred(F-litter) to Galan De El Do-Yel also from Argentina and gave us Franca Salas De Los Porteños. In 2009 we bred Estrella-Yanti De Los Porteños with Argentine Import Lucius De Los Yureritos, we kept 2 puppy`s from this litter a male puppy Gaulicho-Exito De Los Porteños and a female puppy Gaucha-Doña De Los Porteños.... We have planned our Next Litter, H-litter, we hope to have puppies around December/January 2009 French Champion "Ulk Di Casa Dei Marchesi" and International, Dutch, Belgium Champion "De Boca Junior De Los Porteños".
All our Dogos Argentinos are x-rayed for hipdysplasia, B.A.E.R.-tested for the hearing and are caracter-tested by the Dutch Raad van Beheer op Kynologisch gebied.
